Classes, Booking and Tickets
-
When you make a booking to an online class, a online booking confirmation email will be sent to you with a link to join the class. Please click on this link at least 5 minutes before class start time.
If for some reasons you did not receive a Zoom link in your emails 5 minutes before class start time, please contact us at info@namiyogatudio.com.
-
We use Zoom for online classes. Before your online classes, make sure you download the Zoom app on your phone, tablet or computer. A Bluetooth earphone is recommended, but if you don’t have one, it’s ok too. Make sure your devices are sufficiently charged.
Prepare your yoga mat and props if you are using them. Alternatives for yoga blocks could be big, hard-cover books (dictionary size). Alternatives for a yoga strap could be a hand towel or a scarf. For some classes, you may also need a cushion, a pillow, or a blanket. If you can, try to come 5 minutes before class start time to settle in.
During an online class, your microphone will be muted to avoid disruptions to other class participants. You can put the teacher on full screen by selecting the Active Speaker view on Zoom if you want to see the teacher more clearly. We recommend that you turn on your video camera to connect and share your energy with the class, but this is at your discretion.

Check out our wide range of classes here. In general, beginners in yoga start with Hatha Yoga where you’ll learn the foundations and alignment of physical postures (asanas), various breathing techniques, and meditation. Hatha Yoga for Beginners is a gentle introduction to yoga, examining the basics of each pose, step by step. Beginners usually take a few Hatha Yoga classes for a few weeks or months before joining Flow classes (Slow Flow, Hatha Flow, Vinyasa Flow), depending on your progress. Flow classes are more energetic with more speedy movements, hence more chance of getting sweaty.
We also offer one-on-one private yoga classes which could be useful for beginners. Please reach out to us at info@namiyogastudio.com for more information on private classes.
-
For your first class, come 10-15 minutes early so you can settle into the space and ask any questions of your teacher. It is recommended that you practice yoga with an empty stomach, so please have your food at least 2 hours before class start time.
-
Wear what you’d be comfortable stretching and sweating in. Bring a water bottle and a towel too.
