Our Story
Nami Yoga Studio was founded in 2013 in Tokyo to create a welcoming space for people of all ages, levels, and backgrounds living or working in the city. In April 2025, we expanded to our second location - Kyoto - a city rich in culture and tradition. Our two studios foster a supportive, non-competitive, and judgment-free environment where you can relax, build strength and flexibility, and enjoy the journey of yoga.
Our goal is to support the wellbeing of all our students. We truly believe that yoga is not just an exercise, but a lifestyle. In our classes, the practice of yoga involves meditation and engaging the body in a series of poses while controlling the breath to clear the mind. We invite you to take what you learn and feel during class into your daily life as well.
We offer a wide range of classes from Hatha yoga to Flow, Vinyasa, Core Power Yin, Restorative, and Meditation. We regularly hold Workshops to help you better understand the different aspects of yoga practice. Our teachers are passionate, knowledgeable and experienced to make sure your practice is safe and progressive. All our classes are both in studio and virtual (online) so you can also practice from the comfort of your home.
