Favorite prop? Block
Primary practice? Building concentration and strength with the rhythm of breath and flow
Teaching style? Vinyasa Flow. I enjoy the breaths that we cultivate through the smooth movement of the flow. As our breathing becomes deeper and longer, the body naturally expands. Building strengths in and out, we release in Savaasana, clearing our energy to go back to the routine.
What poses do you always teach? Variations of Anjaneyasana, low lunge
Favorite pose? Utthita Trikonasana, extended triangle pose
Least favorite pose? Dhanurasana, bow pose
Favorite Tokyo neighborhood? Anyplace where I can see the view of Tokyo skyscrapers.
Favorite fruit? Any sweet and sour fruits, and durian!
Favorite tunes for yoga? East Forest
What do you always do when you ride the train? Go over the plan of the day or the class. No farther than that day!
Most embarrassing yoga moment? My mind went somewhere during Savanasana, when the teacher rang the bell I jumped up on a mat like a child who was just seeing a nightmare!
Interests outside of yoga? Cooking pasta with no recipe. I enjoy everyday cooking other than pasta too. Healthy, non-expensive, original, tasty menu!
Special talent? Make myself live comfortably in unfamiliar countries.
Hunter or gatherer? Sometimes mindful hunter, sometimes challenging gatherer.
What word do you always say or spell wrong? I think I say “Excel” to express “Exhale”. Will focus more on “h” sound to breathe out!
Anything else you want to add? Where I live is where I make it. Especially when it comes to life with yoga. Nice meeting you to all that I have met and will meet in the future!
