Intro to Ayurveda “Food & Digestion”
Sunday, March 3, 2024
14:00 - 15:30
With Mami, Namita
Do you know “Ayurveda”, a traditional system of medicine originating in India and Sri Lanka with a history of over 5,000 years?
Using the knowledge of "Ayurveda", which is also called the sister of yoga, as tips for our daily life enables us to fix imbalances in our mind and body.
Theme of this Workshop
The theme of this workshop is "Food and Digestion." Are you conscious of what you eat in a day? In Ayurveda, it is recommended to adopt a diet that suits your digestive power. In fact, digestive power changes throughout the day, and by thinking about eating in accordance with the flow of time, we can create a healthy body and mind.
We will take a deeper step into the "digestive power" we discussed in our previous workshop and talk about what actually enhances the meals that support our health. Even if you're new to the Ayurveda workshops, we will review this topic, so please feel free to join the class!
Review of "Digestive Power" which is important in Ayurveda
Changes in digestive power throughout the day
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to digestive power
Recommended miso soup recipe!
Spice tea cooking to improve digestion
While learning the basics of Ayurveda, Mami will answer any questions you may have.
Anyone is welcome to join this workshop!

About Mami
Yoga and Ayurveda Instructor
Mami encountered yoga and Ayurveda, while she immersed herself in the financial sales business. From the experience of difficulties caused by physical and mental imbalances, the practices enabled her to be herself and to become lively. That lead her to become a self-employed instructor. Currently, she runs a morning activity community based on yoga and Ayurveda, holds Ayurveda classes, and organizes retreats. She has also appeared at Yoga Festa 2021, one of the largest events in Asia, and is also active as a writer for Yoga Journal.
